In my second grade, I turned in an expository school project called “How Music Affects Your Brain”. Have you ever imagined, why music, more than any other form of art brings out emotions from you? The more I read about music, the more inspired I became.
After my project, I chose to just keep trying. I attended Hamsadhwani performances and concerts. I sang on the stage. I also sang to my relatives. Occasionally, my mom’s friends or coworkers came over and I would sing for them too. They all supported and encouraged me.
I remember reading this somewhere - when you are constantly exposed to a good form of art, you can never become a bad person even if you try very hard. I do believe that music makes me a better kid. I have patience towards my friends, parents, and kids younger than me. Now, I feel like music is part of my identity. I feel like it is a privilege to have music as part of my identity. I hope that I can be able to sustain that for a very long time.
