Priyamvadaa was born on the 16th of January 1993 in a family deeply rooted in Carnatic music. She started identifying ragas and talas even when she was just 4 years old and claimed the accolades of many alike. She was a regular at many music concerts even as a child, enjoying the music in rapt attention in consonance with the other senior connoisseurs of music. She had such immense grip of tala that once Sri. V. Nagarajan, esteemed Khanjira artiste and Guru said, “You have such a wonderful gift of both raga and laya at a young age. Come to me for I’ll train you.” Priyamvadaa chose the violin as her forte and is presently one among the foremost young violinists today.
Priyamvadaa was initiated into violin by Akkarai Sri. S. Swaminathan, father of the famous Akkarai Sisters duo. She had intensive training under him for more than 5 years. She’s now presently under the esteemed tutelage of “Padmasri” “Kalaimamani” Kum. A. Kanyakumari. Priyamvadaa has gained noteworthy repertoire from both her Gurus.
