Samyuktha Sreeram is an upcoming young South Indian percussionist who performs on the clay drum called the Ghatam. She is among a few female ghatam performers in the world. Samyuktha has been training under the renowned percussionist, Sangita Kalacharya Sri TH Subash Chandran, since the age of 9. She also learns South Indian vocal music under the illustrious vocalist, Kalaimamani Smt. Charumathi Ramachandran, who is famous for her laya-based singing and pallavi compositions.

To date, Samyuktha has played in over 150 concerts across the US, Canada and India. Her playing is based on traditional learning from her guru’s school of music, incorporating speed, unique sollu-patterns, and adept improvisations.
