Ajay Gopi started learning Mridangam from his father Sri. Gopi Lakshminarayanan, disciple of late Sri. Kumbakonam NarayanaSwamy Iyer. He also gets additional training from Sri. Kallidaikurichi Sivakumar, disciple of Sri. Palghat Raghu. Ajay had his arangetram on July, 2013 with Sri. Neyveli Santhanagopalan on the vocal and Sri. Hemmige V. Srivatsan on the violin. Ajay played junior level concerts during December Music Season, 2013. Ajay has accompanied senior artists such as Chinmaya Sisters, Sri. Hemmige V. Srivatsan (violin) , Sri. Mohan Rangan (Flute), Sri Hari Devanath and Sri Vivek Sundararaman, Sri Mahidar Tirumala (Veena), Arjun and Narayanan Keyboard (disciple of Ravikiran and U. Srinivas) and Smt. Padmaja Kishore (Daughter of T.K. Govinda Rao). Ajay regularly accompanies younger upcoming artists in bay area in organizations such as Swara Lahari, Carnatic Chamber Concerts, Lotus, SR Fine Arts, Nandhalala and Trivalley music circle. Ajay has won many Mridangam competitions such as Cleveland Aradhana, Tambaram Music Circle (India), Papanasam Sivan competitions, OSAAT, Nada nritya, etc.
SRINATH HARIHARAN, son of Chitra and Hariharan from Minneapolis started learning music under Bhargavi Balasubramanian about 5 years ago and later came under the tutelage of Sangeet Samraat Chitraveena Ravikiran and has quickly grasped the performance skills for Carnatic music. He has won several prestigious music competitions including at the Cleveland festival much ahead his age.
Talent embellishes under expert tutelage and professional grooming and Srinath is certain to go places in his musical journey.
